Brian Perry

Brian Perry merges diverse experiences in campaigning, development, and strategic communication. Perry has worked on or managed campaigns from mayor and supervisor to attorney general and state supreme court. He served as political director for the Mississippi Republican Party and communications director for the Mississippi Family Council (now the Mississippi Center for Public Policy).

As director of development for the annual fund at Belhaven College, Perry increased the number and amount of contributions for scholarships and capital improvements. Perry assisted in the writing, editing and research of two books for retired Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Charles W. Pickering, Sr.: "Supreme Chaos: The Politics of Judicial Confirmation and the Culture War" (2005) and "A Price Too High: The Judiciary in Jeopardy" (2006); and was the founding editor of MagnoliaReport.com. In 2007, he was spokesperson for the re-election campaign of Governor Haley Barbour.

Before joining Capstone, Perry served on the staff of Congressman Chip Pickering for five years as Communication Director and his policy portfolio included government reform and election measures, religious liberty, education, and veterans' issues.

At Capstone, Perry specializes in strategic communication, grassroots and grasstops advocacy and engagement, and political research. He also writes a syndicated column for the Madison County Journal.
